Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how cnayanajith.com (the “Site”), operated by Chamikara Nayanajith, handles information when you visit. The Site is a personal portfolio and technical blog. It does not sell products, host user accounts, or require you to register.

The short version: the Site collects no personal information directly. It uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic, and the contact form hands your message to WhatsApp rather than storing it.

Information Collected

Analytics data

The Site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate usage. Google may set cookies and process data including your IP address (typically truncated), browser and device type, approximate geographic region, pages visited, referring URL, and time spent on the Site. This data is used only to understand which content is useful. It is not used to identify individual visitors.

Contact form

The contact form does not submit data to any server controlled by the Site. When you submit it, the name, email address, and message you entered are encoded into a WhatsApp message link and opened in WhatsApp. Nothing is stored on the Site, and no database or email backend receives the contents. Once the message reaches WhatsApp, it is handled under WhatsApp’s own privacy terms.

Server logs

Like most websites, the hosting provider may automatically record standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp, requested path) for security and reliability purposes. These logs are managed by the hosting provider and are not used for profiling or marketing.

What is not collected

• No user accounts, passwords, or authentication data
• No payment or financial information
• No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies
• No sale, rental, or sharing of personal information with data brokers

Cookies

The Site sets no cookies of its own. The only cookies that may be set are those used by Google Analytics. You can block or delete them through your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking them does not affect how the Site works.

Third-Party Services

The Site relies on the following third parties, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• Google Analytics — aggregate traffic measurement
• WhatsApp (Meta) — delivery of contact form messages
• Hosting provider — serving the Site and retaining standard request logs

The Site also links to external websites. This policy does not cover those sites, and no responsibility is taken for their content or privacy practices.

Google Ads API Usage

Separately from this website, the Site owner operates a private, single-user command-line utility that queries the Google Ads API for keyword research relating to the owner’s own Google Ads account and website content.

This utility is not part of the Site, is not accessible to visitors, and processes no visitor data. Keyword data retrieved from Google is stored locally on the owner’s machine and is never resold, redistributed, published, or shared with any third party. Use of the Google Ads API is subject to the Google Ads API Terms and Conditions.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data relating to you, and to object to certain processing. Because the Site stores no personal data itself, most such requests are best directed to Google (for analytics data) or WhatsApp (for messages you sent).
